In Class Exercise: Group
Search the Internet to find locations that will host a Free Web Site (FWS). As a group, select at least three (3) promising hosts to compare.
For each host, gather the following information:
Will your site display with the host's (or somebody else's) advertising?
How much storage space are you allowed?
Does the host support Microsoft SharePoint Services (or FrontPage Extensions)?
What will the URL for your pages look like?
Does the server provide any site statistics?
Can you upload your own "hand coded" XHTML pages? How?
Does the host provide "tools" for creating simple web pages on-line?
Other (included email accounts, cost for more storage, etc.)
Hand in a word processed summary of your findings (one per group). (Hint: a table makes comparisons much easier)
