PHP + MySQL Sample Page

In this exercise you will test your MySQL database on the cis2.sc4.edu server, by creating a working version of the example from Fig23.14 and 23.15 in the textbook (page 930).

Edit the Fig 23.14 data.html page from page 930 in the textbook. A few changes will be needed:

• The Fields names are 'ISBN', 'title', 'editionNumber' and 'copyright' (there is not an ID or Category field)

Edit the Fig 23.15 database.php program from page 931 in the textbook. A few changes will be needed:

• Connect using YOUR username and password (localhost stays the same)
• Name of the database is 'cis236shared' (not 'products')
• Name of the table is 'Titles' (not 'books')

Upload the pages to your cis2 site and verify that they work.

Print out:

• the PHP source code
• a screen shot of your web page in the browser, showing the address bar.
